Seasons Greetings,

There will be no Board Meeting in December, 2014.

The holidays are upon us.  Please remember to park your car(s) in your garages or driveways, or use Spring Hill if you need more parking. We want our guests to find parking in the designated parking spots, especially during the holidays. Also, our streets are narrow so please remember that parking in not permitted along the sidewalks for safety reasons.

Happy Holidays!!!

One of the many goals of California Ridge HOA is to maintain the health of the trees throughout the community. Part of the process for maintaining trees is to prune them on a regular basis, remove or treat diseased trees, and evaluate trees for safety and potential damage to infrastructure. This includes potential damage to utilities, home foundations, the sewer system, and streets and driveways. The trees in the community were audited many months ago and the arborist has recommended removing 7 trees.

From Johnny Khamis, District 10 Council member

Dear Neighbor,

Happy July! We are just a few short days away from celebrating our Nation’s Independence! Please join me this Fourth of July as we celebrate the birth of our nation with an afternoon and evening festival, culminating with a fireworks show, at Almaden Lake Park. Over the last several years, there has been a marked increase in the use of illegal fireworks. The police and fire departments have developed a comprehensive strategy that they will employ this year to educate the public and combat this explosion in illegal firework use. For more information on their efforts visit the SJFD website

For the past year or longer, the Board has been working on plans to replace the monument signs at the entrances of Copper Peak and Shelby Creek. Taking a step back, the original monuments were damaged by dry rot, termites, and time. We learned about the condition of the monuments at the conclusion of the painting project.

The web team has been hard at work designing a new website for California Ridge. We've added several new features and improved the overall look of the website. One of our favorite new features is called "Picture of the month."
